Wrapping Up the AI Hackathon in Poznań

After three inspiring days of collaboration, creativity, and hands-on experimentation, our AI Hackathon in Poznań has officially come to an end. Six teams have spent the week transforming their pre-defined ideas into working AI-driven prototypes, showcasing both technical skill and innovative thinking.

The Winning Team: Dagleish’s Angels

Dagleish’s Angels took home the win this year with their impressive solution:

an AI-powered guide designed to connect every customer with their perfect product through chat.

Their original idea started with three different agents a Sales Agent, a Search Agent, and an Order Agent, but the team quickly realized this approach was too complex and time-consuming. They pivoted to a single, smarter agent that could handle all tasks in one flow.

Throughout the process, the team shared several valuable learnings:

  • Persisting the right context between agents can be difficult.
  • Prompts can be optimized using LLMs.
  • Simple prompts often deliver the best results.

They built their solution using ChatGPT-4.1Semantic Kernel, and Komplett.AI.Core to orchestrate the agents.

The rest of the application runs on a standard CaaS setup, and the team made use of tools like CursorClaude, and Copilot during development.

A well-deserved victory for a well-executed idea!

Highlights from the Other Teams

Every team delivered something unique, creative, and technically impressive. Here’s a short summary of their efforts:

  • ByteBuilders – Developed a tool aimed at improving internal collaboration using generative AI.
  • Because We Know What You Did Last Checkout – Present products on offer (club or weekly offers) based on the customers' last orders.
  • FantAIstic Four – developed Dynamic Product Comparison™ an AI-powered feature that highlights meaningful differences between products by combining internal data with external sources.
  • Steven SigAI Team – Improve the customer journey by enhancing the product comparison page with AI features.
  • Lucky Pigs – Developed an app that makes it easier for customers to upgrade products they previously purchased by improving the process of trading in older items for something new.

Each team demonstrated a strong mix of creativity, teamwork, and technical execution. The variety of solutions reflected just how versatile AI can be when applied to different business challenges.

The Jury and Special Awards

After all teams had presented their solutions, the jury, consisting of Thomas Kjær JohannessenThomas Pedersen, and Olav Bø Hernes gathered to discuss and evaluate the projects.

Each solution was scored across five categories: Relevance & ValueFunctionalityUser Experience & DesignInnovation / Wow Factor, and Presentation, with up to five points awarded per category.

In addition to the jury scoring, all participants were given one vote to select their favorite solution, as long as it wasn’t their own.

There was also a special “extra mile” recognition, where everyone could vote for a person who had gone above and beyond during the hackathon.

This award went to Adrian, who received the most votes and several mentions for his willingness to help multiple teams throughout the competition.

A Fantastic Finish

This hackathon has been a powerful reminder of what happens when we bring together talented people with a shared curiosity for technology and innovation.

The collaboration across roles, from developers and engineers to consultants and delivery managers, was key to the success of every project.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and contributed to making the AI Hackathon 2025 such a success.

We’re already looking forward to seeing how some of these ideas might evolve beyond the event.
